We are all feeling the weather changes, its getting warmer, plants are doing their thing, and I am seeing more dehydrated kids than before, and I am seeing many red noses, watery eyes, sneezing, headaches, wheezing and general fatigue! Dehydration can make Allergies worse!
First and most important: STAY HYDRATED! Watch out for afternoon headaches, nausea and vomiting (usually in kids), irritability and dizziness! This is possible dehydration: Remedy is simple, get drinking water. Also a nice luke warm bath can help rehydrate.
DO: Add 1/4 c. of all natural 100% fruit juice to water, to get some electrolytes.
Do: Drink 1-2 glasses of water first thing in the morning to get started on the right foot.
Do: limit dehydrating beverages like caffeine teas and coffee and soda.
DO NOT: Wait until you are thirsty to drink water, by then you are already dehydrated!
DO NOT: Gulp down large amounts of ICE COLD water. When your body is warm this can throw you into a fast painful muscular spasm. Drink room tempurature water in large amounts instead.
Allergies:
If your reaching for the over the counter antihistamines and feeling TOO dry, consider using natural antihistamines like Vitamin C. Other nutrients to help reduce allergy symptoms are Quercitin, Stinging Nettles, homeopathic remedies and more.
If you are REALLY having difficulty, are asthmatic or tend toward Bronchitis or have other respiratory disorders, consider coming in to get a HOMEOPATHIC ALLERGY SHOT! This is a combination of homepathics with B vitamins that acts as an antihistamine. It is all natural, safe with other medications and there are NO side effects.
